Around Sweden

My name is Fredrik Blad and I am founder of Around Sweden. The idea emerged gradually when I was a student at Uppsala University. I was involved in taking care of the exchange students and I also had a lot of personal friends among the international students at school. Time and time again I heard about the desire of international students to see the “true” Sweden. The school organized trips and they were actually quite appreciated but the demand was enormous. What I found was lacking the most was the trips beyond the classical “tourist-traps”. International students want to experience not only Stockholm and Gothenburg but also more rural places, places where the beauty of Swedish nature really becomes apparent.
