Kiruna trip

th The bus departs 09.00 from central station

th We arrive around 07.00 in Kiruna. After check in and breakfast, students are free to chose from a vast number of activities. We arrange for visits to the famous local church, trips to the mine and a combined dogsledge and snowmobiling tour. In the evening we go out to the local pub for a few beers.

th In the morning we have breakfast together. The day is spent exploring the city of Kiruna and there will be a chance for those who like to try the famous reindeer-kebab. In the afternoon the bus departs from Kiruna and our first stop is at a sami-village where we will get to feed the raindeers and listen to stories about sami tradition. At 15.00 we depart for the Icehotel where we take a guided tour. In the night we have an international dinner party in the common kitchen.

th After the breakfeast, there will be some free time for shopping until the bus then departs to Narvik in Norway where we will have lunch overlooking a stunning view of the landscape. From Narvik the bus continues to Abisko where we spend the night.

th The whole day is spent on outdoor activities such as crosscountry-skiing and tipple-fishing. Later at night we all gather for traditional sauna bathing down by the lake. For the daring there is a whole in the ice right by the sauna. Running between the whole in the ice and the sauna with a beer in your hand, there is a good chance of seeing the aurora in the sky. After the sauna everyone gather up at the main building to spend the last night together with their new-found friends.
